have several key events and workshops during the remainder of
April, as we move forward in celebrating the Olympic Nod . The
Chamber thanks you and ask that you consider joining us as we
go forward to create a partnership in the rebirth of the Bronzeville
Community
The
potential of the Bronzeville community is at last being recognized
Once
considered a “city within a city” during the days
of restrictive covenants,
the forces of disinvestment and middle class abandonment devastated
the physical space of the community and
the
psyche of some of its residents during the latter half of the
20th century. As young professionals and businesses now set
their gaze upon Bronzeville, “Community” is the framework
under which the myriad of activities and plans currently underway
must be organized. Area surveys by select participants have
long expressed a desire for a chamber of commerce.
The
Bronzeville Comnunity is Booming! Real Estate values
have increased over 100% in recent years along with
the Housing Boom. Condos are on the rise and new businesses
and entertainment venues are popping up along the major
coridors. Now is the time to join the chamber as the
area redevelopment and revitaliza tion continues to
defy expectations.
